Deposits

Before arrival date, guests must complete the guest agreement form and attach a valid photo ID, vaccine card along with the credit card used for the reservation. All reservations will require a Security Room Deposit registered on a valid credit card: $35 Payments to all reservations will be collected with a valid credit card registered on file. Late Check-in

• Guests expecting to arrive between the hours of 9pm – 7am are considered “late self-check-in.” Guests arriving after 9pm will not be charged an extra fee of any sort, but they must complete the full payment for their accommodation prior to check-in. In addition, guest must fill out our “guest registration form” and must provide a copy of a valid ID / Vaccine Card. Our staff here at Fortel Hostel are well traveled and understand the difficulties that can arise in the process. As such we are more than willing to accommodate your arrival time given that we are warned with sufficient notice. Please double check your ETA and contact us immediately with any changes that will put your arrival outside of front desk hours.

• If a guest’s arrival time runs late enough into the morning to be considered the next day guests will still be charged the full day rate.

• The Late Self-Check-in exception is only for guest staying for more than (1) one night.

• Check-out is promptly at 11:00 AM as we have other guests arriving. Please leave your towel on top of your bed and drop off your key in the black box next to reception.

Cancellation & Refunds

• Cancellations or changes must be made 72 hours prior to your arrival. Failure to do so will result in the charge of the first night of beds reserved. Last minute bookings are non-refundable. Any cancellation under the selection of non-refundable rate will not be refundable, no exception apply to this selection.

• If guests have booked with a third party such as booking.com or hostelworld.com, cancellation fees may apply according to their policies, but will have no affiliation or shared fees with Fortel Hostel.

• Individual guests who leave before the completion of reservation will not be refunded.

• Guests or groups forced to leave Fortel Hostel earlier than their departure date due to non-compliance to hostel rules, federal or state laws, or who are considered a threat to other hostel guests and/or property will not be refunded any amount already paid.

• In case of no-show – if a guest or group does not show up for their reservation the room will be charged in full.

Property Damages

• Fortel Hostel reserves the right to use individual guests credit card deposit for any property damages up to the amount of $150 and any difference in the amount of damage incurred.

• Groups of 10+ credit card deposit for any property damages up to the amount of $400 and any difference in the amount of damage incurred.

• Entire hostel credit card deposit for any property damages up to the amount of $700 and any difference in the amount of damage incurred. The guest will be notified of any property damage charges through the contact information given during booking.

Age Restriction

Due to the nature of the hostel environment, no minors under the age of 18 years old are permitted to stay at Fortel Hostel.

Guarantee Policy

All guests of Fortel Hostel are guaranteed the services advertised on our website. This does not include services or amenities advertised by third-party websites.

• Fortel Hostel reserves the right to restrict access to any guest exhibiting belligerent behavior from excessive drinking. For your safety and that of other guests, anyone not complying with this rule may be asked to leave without a refund.

• If you’re a male and you booked a female only dorm you will be charged your first night stay unless we have availability in our other mixed gender dorms to accommodate you. Therefore, please read and make sure you book the right room for you.

Hostel Rules & Regulations

At Fortel Hostel, we strive to create a fun and safe environment for both our guests and community to enjoy. Our hostels provide multiple common areas and the following rules and regulations are established for the safety and privacy of our guests.

• Quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM in all other areas. (For the convenience of guests who have to wake up early or are exhausted from their journey, Fortel appreciates your understanding of quiet hours between 10pm – 8 am.)

• Fortel allows the consumption of alcohol on property, but strictly forbids the use of any illegal drugs or underage drinking.

• Smoking not allowed inside the property.

• You may not place, take, or occupy any bed that you were not assigned to. If so you will be charged the deposit.

• At no time is ANY visitor allowed to enter the rooms. Visitors must remain in the common areas. Guests found in violation of this policy will be asked to leave Fortel Hostel immediately without refund.

• To avoid issues and for the overall respect of your roommates, sexual activities are strictly prohibited in the shared dorm rooms and common areas.
